driVing sooN

I realise my blog has become a weekly update because I seldom come home on weekdays anymore. Kinda used to camp life and i believe if i have a car, staying in camp will be almost as convenient as home! Haha

Well time for some random photos of my past week.

This is not any scenic pic that I took overseas, it is yours truly Singapore!
Can't believe we have such nice scenery here right?

The beautiful sunset that greeted me for the past week

My new buddy from the mountains! We called him Snuggle for the sound he makes.

Heading down to Sentosa for my marathon training tomorrow morning! Should be jogging a comfortable distance... 10km acccording to Jieren then it will be a sun tanning session! This time definitely will bring along my sun tan lotion, don't want to end up cooked and peeling again!

According to my boss, I'll transfering out soon. Going to be Senior Training Officer in AFS. Feeling kinda weird because I am just way too junior in rank and experience to be STO. But I feel that it is a good change of working environment for me. Finally can do what i prefer - training people into commanders!

However I'll miss the companies I have in 160. All my fellow 2LT and Joseph (the CPT which blends in very well with the 2LT) who will always be there for meals and runs! haha and of cos our gathering in the afternoon to talk cock.

Oh almost forget to announce! I have been promoted to Lieutenant wef 1st Oct! Yeah! However I foresee those vultures in 160 are sure to hunt me down for a promotion treat anytime soon... bleah~!

given a chance again, I will hold you closer
given a chance again, I will not let you weep
given a chance again, I will not let you leave

if given a chance again, I will love you still

bAck from the wild

Finally ended the dirty version of me... sometimes I'm also amazed with my endurance .

In total, I only bathed once, and changed my uniform twice throughout the whole 5 days!!

Nonetheless, it was fun and exciting this time.

1. Had an encounter with 2 big wild boars.
2. Met the OCS cadets for the 3rd bar presentation.
3. Redeployed with the most unexpected reason.

All ended well other than some hiccups here and there. And as I expected, the stupid seagull did some stupid things and stunts again!!! Shan't say it here... you never know who is reading your blog.

Had 3 hours of basketball this morning. Felt a bit old? Running short of breath!!! Hahaha I better buck up my training for standard chartered, don't wish to die halfway through the marathon.

Expectations at work is getting higher and higher. Though I don't like to live with people's expectations, it is only inevitable when it comes to work in the society ( ok.. work in the military). Sometimes you have to strive very hard and overwork yourself, just to receive recognition from others. Well I have faith in myself, nothing can be too hard!! Just need to try harder thats all. Hope my actions will be able to inspire others as well and things will be much easier!!

To all my batch of friends in NS....... HAPPY OPERATIONAL READY DEPARTURE!!! Stay Evergreen!

strVe wIth unCertainties

In matter of hours, I'll be heading out for my 4th exercise (or is it 5th?) since I joined 160 SQN. However this will be the 1st time that I am actually feeling uncomfortable with an exercise.

Just to state a few reasons:

1. I am not in the main body of planning and the planning was poorly coordinated (because of one blockhead).
2. The place was filled with unhappiness when I last visited it.
3. Current morale of the platoon is not very high.
4. Most importantly, the result of this exercise is very crucial and significant.

Okay shan't elaborate too much otherwise I may unknowingly infringe the information security of SAF. But my gut feeling tells me that this time it will be very different, and I'm afraid something will go wrong. Hope that I am wrong this time!!

Yup I'll be away for a while, so my sister cleverly caught hold of me and brought me to Queensway for shopping today. =|

I owed her birthday present for a long time but it wasn't my fault! It was she who couldn't decide on which shoes to buy because of picky-ness and indecisiveness~! Ah whatever... so we travelled all the way across the island to Queensway and fortunately managed to get her a nice pair of Adidas Superstar 2! Personally I think the shoes are great in both looks and comfort (still remember the Superstar SG that I couldn't buy during Sec 4 because i got no money... but it was damn nice and comfortable!)

Glad that she likes it too (siblings' good taste). It is her first pair of adidas shoes and she's beginning to like the brand?

Oh in the shoes it writes, "Adidas - the brand with the three stripes". So diao right? And it is further repeated in 2 more other languages. Damn lame! But I guess thats why many of us like Adidas.... because it is special!

Just read a bad news from jinx's blog. Hey hope your godma is recovering well. Most mild stroke cases will achieve full recovery with the help of therapy, so don't worry too much. Your godma being such an active and strong one will recover in no time!

Back in a week's time. Adios.

依然范特西~!

Yeah! finally got hold to 依然范特西 - Jay Chou's latest album. (okay don't ask me how i got it....)

Overall is quite good! got lotsa different styles... and still got his signature "WooH" in 心雨. Of cos as usual, he will include one rather cute song, this time is 听妈妈的话. And my fav is 菊花台, which has the "china" touch! Hmm don't know why but this song reminds me of the chinese movie, The Song Sisters, a very meaningful show that revolves around the 3 most influential women in China during WW2.

(Wonder if the ring is for Hebe? haha)

Next week, i'll be away for a long time.. roughly 1 week. Going for the Five Power exercise, hope everything will go well!

Don't know why, but i kinda miss you today.... 你的影子剪不断, 独留我孤单在湖面神伤.

fallinG staR.

I learnt from someone that for every great person's death, there's a falling star.

I believed Steve Erwin had seen it coming since he was handling all the dangerous creatures. But he would never have expected it to be a stingray? Being killed by what he had been protecting all this time. Ironic, isn't it?

A stab in the heart is definitely glorious and honourable, remaining in one piece and dying painlessly.

Hope someone will continue and fulfill his dying wish of conserving the animals and introducing them to the whole world.

Next time mate. The Croc Hunter.

A star has definitely fallen for him.

RSAF OH and Life Dayy

Yeahh!! Open house is finally over and done with!! For those who have missed it, it was a fabulous display of total air power. But the planning stages of the OH, especially the aerial display portion, were poorly coordinated and ended up having me and many others suffering together. (right bak? if u knew i have a blog of cos. haha) Soon i'll be doing a report on the whole process of OH and it will definitely be a long one because there are so many issue to be straightened and highlighted for awareness.

As usual the Guns joy ride was a popular attraction, many of us had to take shift to mann the gun and of cos getting our very "manly" tan!

This was the first day of OH and i was already roasted. =(
3rd day: Can u see that I'm the darkest? (only 2LT to be at OH for all 3 days.. damn the stupid idiot who planned me to do so.)

The exibition areas were informative and i realised the F15 Strike Eagle that RSAF had purchased are super duper good planes! haha inspiring me to switch vocation? Lets see how la. Well i always believe photo speak a thousand words. Yup here u go!

My aerial display crew for 3rd day (front to back: Sebast, Dexter and Chia Hee)
(P.S. don't ask me why is Gun in AERIAL display.)
15 seconds before the last aerial show of OH
(And we are still taking photos!! haha)

A little bit of encouragement from Mediacorp =)

Be frank. After the OH, I have lost faith and trust in many people, whom are not convenient to be mentioned here (all the 2LT know who I am referring to). It is through this kind of big crisis then you will know who are those that will stand by you at all times and those who will fleed during hard times. Still, life goes on and definitely a good lesson learnt. You gain something, you lose something... equivalent exchange.

Something happier! Went to Sentosa for Life day. Initially i thought the beaches will be deserted because it was Monday. But Surprise Surprise! There were so many people around, it almost felt like a weekend.

Yup so i went to even out my tanlines and got myself an overall tan! Volleyball and dunking people into water were the highlights. Everyone was practically chasing everyone, running along the beach and fighting in the sea! Luckily i was spared from the "sands in pants" punishment.

Last time i visited Sentosa was in J2, just after prelims, before A lvls (what a time to go sentosa huh?). Now it has all changed and renewed! haha maybe should get myself an Islander card soon... hmm...

Scott fetched me home after Sentosa and got to ride in the Lexus IS250. A damn nice and efficient car. Luxurious yet practical. The engine was so quiet, i could hardly notice it running! It has a lot of cool features as well! Haha only if i got $120,000.

The Lexus which is comparable to Merc or BMW, at much cheaper pay!
(All typical s'porean, pls dun rush to buy 4D after seeing this.)

Cool and comfortable interior, equipped with all the features!

Enjoying myself in the great car! (looking like a lobster)

Tomorrow is my CAT upgrade test. Wish me luck in passing the exam!!!
