Wee Kian

Met up with Wee Kian yesterday, he should be on his way back to Durham now. He still looked the same, the fit-like-commando body with funny-like-clown character. His words are still as no link as ever. Felt a little pity for him (not trying for SMS) because he definitely deserved it. But well like he said, he has to stop thinking about it and move on with life. That's the way my brother!
Can you see the duck behind Wee Kian? (slurps)

We had our dinner at Bayswater. The famous Goldmine! It slipped my mind that District and Circle lines are closed for weekends, hence I was 1 hour late.. bleah. haha so paiseh. Hope that Yao Hao was a good tour guide for you. haha London is just as boring as Durham. Just a little bigger?

Started to revise for my CNY test and also began the planning for our Italy trip during Easter. Difficult being the Captain of the trip when people have different schedules to go back to Singapore and Malaysia.

Frankly, I do want to go back Singapore but summer is too near Easter, it just doesn't make sense to go back twice in 2 months. Shall bear with it a little more and immerse myself in European countries.

Thus far I haven't had any British as my good friend. Haha yup it was one of my little to-do-list item. Most of my good friends are Asians. I guess I'll just have to try harder, learn to accept their culture and personalities. But my innate character is not willing to try hard for it, because I always believe that I will not bent myself to accommodate the others. I hate being so ego at times. Hmm strive to strike a balance between my wishlist and my character.

Learning Economics module now. And I don't like it. Kinda too hypothetical for me. And seriously, too much reading to do. I'm more of a hands-on person.

And still continuing from last post, I hate Heat and Mass Transfer!!

Losses and Gains

Hey I'm back!

Past few weeks have been very busy. But of course for good reasons =)

1. Gave Louise a mini surprise and a delicious birthday cake on the 4th Jan. Thanks everyone for joining in the "Mission Lulu".

2. Brought Louise to Somerset House and skated the night away. And of course ending her birthday with a "sparkle". She was speechless after that, haha glad that she liked the "sparkle"

3. School started and I am more studious this term. (Yes! I am, believe me!)

4. Project was bad. No one was doing work other than me. I need to get the group started soon otherwise we will sink like Titanic and break apart.

5. Had a nice heart-2-heart talk with dearie. Sorry for the insecurity u felt but I am glad that you told me instead of keeping it to yourself, and now I am more aware. Trust me, we will go a long way. And I promise to make it good to you. =)

6. Grandma passed away on the 4th Jan. My family decided not to tell me about it until today because they didn't want me to worry. But lest they know, I already knew about it. (Mavis! you should have told me)

Tonight meeting Permanent Secretary (Defense) again. I just want to have a nice dinner thats all. =)

2008 and more!

Happy New Year to all!

Ski Trip was very fruitful. I finally learnt how to ski beyond green slopes and had the chance to snowfight and making snowman for the first time in my life.

yeah! our snowman! (he was kinda stumpy =P)

And we had a snow leopard crawl competition!! Sadly I didn't win despite being from SAF.

It was freaking cold up in the mountains. It ranges from -10 to -15 degrees!! Louise and I almost froze our toes away on the first day 'cause we went to play in the snow with our normal shoes!

Definitely going to ski again and try the harder slopes. But maybe not France again, try Switzerland?

Last night went for the Countdown 2008 at Embankment. It was one of my worse countdown ever!

1. Fireworks produced too much smoke and ended up fogging everything. Only heard the fireworks but not see much of them.

2. The crowd was crazy. Crazy in the bad way. It was so crowded and some irritating bastards were pushing in the crowd.

3. Some of the Brits teenagers got drunk and started shouting racist comments at us. I almost whacked them.

4. The UK crowd control is really lousy as compared to Singapore's. We started leaving at 1215, only to be home at 0200.

Ok I am not trying to be racist here as well. But some and may I emphasize it, SOME of the brits - Not matter you are British-born whites, blacks or indians, you guys must really stop being so racist and think that you are of a superior race to the Chinese!! Because the simple fact is.. You guys are not! Many of them are roaming the streets creating troubles out of nothing and ended up with the police. I really wonder how will their future be. And being racist, only makes you guys look ridiculously ignorant to us. (you guys don't even know that not all Chinese are from China or Hongkong? haha) So please stop being the shame of London and make good use of your life.

Oh just want to share one good example.

A guy crawled up the top of a bus stop and started dancing. Minutes later, he was arrested by the police. And seconds later, another guy pulled the same stunt again, to end up with the same fate of spending his New Year in police station. Just as we thought no one will be dumb enough to it again, 3 other guys went up!!! Haha guess what happened to them yourselves. Stupid right? Don't even know how to learn from others.

Nonetheless, I hope these are minorities.

Yup 2007 had been a good year for me. Did lotsa stuff in a short span of 365 days. And finally I started school again!! yeah!

Wish that 2008 will be as fruitful or better!
