First week in London
Today marks the end of my first week in London.
First few days were crazy and stupid because of all the admin lapses... eg,
1. My ID card wasn't ready when i arrived, hence cannot register for a lot of things.
2. Registration for NHS took 2.5 hrs!!! (National Health Service)
3. Bank account not done.. even till now! Cos their efficiency is almost zero when comes to money.
4. Accommodation had tonnes of problem which i shall not mention here.. haha too many to list.
But after the admin stuff, I could better appreciate London, one of the greatest cities in the world.
It has both modern and ancient architectures side by side... and somehow they look compatible! Furthermore all the great monuments and buildings in London are within few tube stations away.
Most importantly, their museums are FREE!! Just around Imperial, there are 3 museums already. Haven't had to the chance to visit them yet =(
Oh my place is super near to school! haha less than 5 min walk, but it is pretty rundown... how should i put it... a place with lotsa heritage? haha
As for CCA, haven't joined any clubs or societies yet.. only the mandatory ones like JapSoc, ArtSoc and of course ( i can sense Joseph staring at me now).... SingSoc!! haha
The thing is most of the Brits will tend to cluster and talk among themselves... so is quite hard for us (non chinese) to join the clubs when they don't really speak to you during training. But will continue to hunt for clubs... especially sports! haha
