Imperial here I come!

Woohoo!! Finally got the acceptance notification from Imperial's Chem Eng! haha I was so nervous when reading the mail.

In the first sentence, it reads:

"Dear Peng Yu, I enjoyed meeting you at the interview recently in Singapore ."

I held my breath before scrolling down because the first sentence sounds like a bad omen. Like those rejection letters which will first thank u for coming down first then tell you about the bad news.

Luckily the second sentence reads:

"... I am sure that you would do well in our course here at Imperial, therefore we will be we will be instructing UCAS to give you an unconditional offer."

Haha finally after all the hurdles in application, I can safely claim that I am really going for UK this time! Thank God!

Another good news to announce! My parents finally accept my faith in Christ!

Over the dinner, Mum asked whether I am going for service behind her back. I was so scared la! Really don't want to quarrel over dinner but suddenly a sentence from the bible strikes me... "Honor your parents". I didn't want to lie either so I told her the truth.

I am really blessed. For the first time, she didn't scold me. She said, "Oh, next time just let me know." YEAH!!! All my prayers for the past months have finally been answered! Thank God for this miracle! I really thought it would almost be impossible for her to come into terms with my new found faith.

Now I can attend service and cell without guilt. Thanks Mum! Now the next step, introduce my parents to our Almighty. It maybe a more steep task but nothing is impossible with God's grace.
