Ec-counting!

ARGH!!! I hate business module! Econs and Accounting are just not my cup of tea =P

There is a reason why I didn't take Econs in JC leh!!! Damn it.

Someone teach me how to balance that stupid sheet can?

Anyway I think I will stop for today and sleep more for tomorrow. Although mastery exams are not counted (though I must pass them to go on the 2nd year), I feel that they are more impt than business? (business is 4% for the year)

Oh heard that Ah Hao will be coming to London in June!!! Yeah finally get to meet up with my god-family! (they are even closer to me thnn my real cousins man) Hope he will bring me nice singaporean stuff.... like Ba Kua? =P

Dearie fell a little sick last night. Hope she is alright now. Thank God she is not having exams like me otherwise she will use her fav phrase again... "I wanna die!" =P

Greenwich!

Taking a little small break from my studying now.

Oh we went Greenwich in celebration of our 6th month! Yes! it has been 6 months!

The main attraction was, of course! the Greenwich line! haha but other than that, there were the painted hall and maritime museum too!

Pictures time!

Painted Hall - the whole hall is painted, including all the "cravings" on the wall. It is really exquisite work here. I was fooled by it till I went closer to it! haha

See all the pillars? They are not real!! haha

This is the chapel where the students in Greenwich University willl have their graduation. So cool! Must be a nice graduation with the company of the big organ.

Nice campus right? And having two tourist attractions in it, makes it even more special! How I wish Imperial campus is this nice, instead of the boring buildings now.

Anchor! Bigger than my handspan la!

This is actually a British boat! haha looks very much like some Chinese stuff right? And there is Captain Louise for you =)

Very nice stained glass! It makes the churches so special!

Found this weirdlooking brush in the museum. Hmm makes nice hair for me? haha hippy look.

Haha even the toilet in the maritime museum are weird! Sailor's toilet? They called it 'heads' right?

The Greenwich Line! And both of us are in different time zone now! haha so cool.

This is how far away home is... hai. Eh I mean Singapore of cos! Not KL la!

Greenwich Park - So much better than the gloomy looking Hype Park! haha The Greenwich Park makes very good spot for wedding photos!

If you are wondering whats those green cubes are.... they are mobile toilets! There were like hundreds of them at the corner of the park.
Not sure why but Louise was certainly unhappy about it! hahahaha

Till next time!

Uscita!

Yes Uscita was the first italian word that I picked when I was at the airport, because I was looking for the exit! hahaha

And this little word kept appearing around me... On the bus, metro, shopping centre and even the Colosseum!

Looking at all the request and scolding about my dusty cobweb blog, I feel such ashamed of it. haha like Joe said I have only blogged 9 times since I got to London. (eh joe why did you even bother counting in the first place?)

Italy was a land of discovery for me.

1. Ciao! this word of greeting is actually italian! (maybe many of you know that alrdy =(
2. Bolognese sauce came from Italy, from a town called Bologna! haha
3. Leonardo Da Vinci was an Italian.
4. The Last Supper is in Milan!
5. Italy produces 2nd largest amount of wine in the world!

After this trip, I think I will not go back Italy for a long long time. haha 16 days of travelling was indeed tiring, being over ambitious in the beginning. But still the trip was great fun and of course with the fun loving and crazy company.

Time for Photos

Rome.

The place of monuments and monuments. After Rome, we were so jaded about monuments, the other churches or fountains just could stir up any interest. hahaha

Colosseum- Can't believe how badly preserved the colosseum is. Such a pity, otherwise it would have been magnificent.

Vatican City - Awaiting the Pope
We coincidentally bumped into the Easter Sunday in Vatican. Sadly, it was raining very badly. So we did not stay throughout the whole mass. But the place was very beautiful and artistic.

The walkway to Vatican City

In St Peter Basilica, Vatican

The Famous Trevi Fountain! (not really a fountain though just ripples)

Us drinking from the Trevi Fountain. Apparently Trevi Fountain is about love? haha

Last but not least.... The gelato!!!!! Look at the deco of the gelato!
(p.s. we ate gelato almost everyday)

I will update more again because there is a lot of stuff to update. But if you wan the pictures, they are all on Facebook!

Sound of Music

Yeah! Finally watched the musical I used to sing during the years in PA Choir. (yes i was from choir!)

All the songs from Sound of Music brought back nice memories of singing while walking down Chingay.... TWICE! And I had to put on thick and gross make-up due to the lighting. But those were the memorable times of my childhood.

And of course it started with, " The hills are alive, with the sound of music....

It's at London Palladium! My smile is so frozen... haha

I heard it will be Connie Fisher's last performance for Sound of Music. She is a bit old compared to the Maria I expected. But her voice was pretty good!

And of course, how can we leave without having a dance!

The guys of the night!

Now it will be till 21 Feb 2008...... Phantom of the Opera!

Wee Kian

Met up with Wee Kian yesterday, he should be on his way back to Durham now. He still looked the same, the fit-like-commando body with funny-like-clown character. His words are still as no link as ever. Felt a little pity for him (not trying for SMS) because he definitely deserved it. But well like he said, he has to stop thinking about it and move on with life. That's the way my brother!
Can you see the duck behind Wee Kian? (slurps)

We had our dinner at Bayswater. The famous Goldmine! It slipped my mind that District and Circle lines are closed for weekends, hence I was 1 hour late.. bleah. haha so paiseh. Hope that Yao Hao was a good tour guide for you. haha London is just as boring as Durham. Just a little bigger?

Started to revise for my CNY test and also began the planning for our Italy trip during Easter. Difficult being the Captain of the trip when people have different schedules to go back to Singapore and Malaysia.

Frankly, I do want to go back Singapore but summer is too near Easter, it just doesn't make sense to go back twice in 2 months. Shall bear with it a little more and immerse myself in European countries.

Thus far I haven't had any British as my good friend. Haha yup it was one of my little to-do-list item. Most of my good friends are Asians. I guess I'll just have to try harder, learn to accept their culture and personalities. But my innate character is not willing to try hard for it, because I always believe that I will not bent myself to accommodate the others. I hate being so ego at times. Hmm strive to strike a balance between my wishlist and my character.

Learning Economics module now. And I don't like it. Kinda too hypothetical for me. And seriously, too much reading to do. I'm more of a hands-on person.

And still continuing from last post, I hate Heat and Mass Transfer!!

Sick

Falling sick is the worst thing to happen in winter.. Pump all the Vit C in my drawer!

Heat and Mass Transfer lecturer sucks like mad. He can't teach for nuts, wonder how he become a Dr. I should be given Professorship then.

Shall mug hard for CNY test. hahaha thats what i named it.
