Hey everyone! haha

Looking at the time in my notebook.

It says 10.28am. Hmm that's the time for Singapore, so for those who knows the time difference between London and Singapore, you know I made an effort to blog this entry! =)

Away from home for 2 months and 1 day, frankly I'm still not missing home yet. I guess that's the good point of being a guy, especially a guy who has been through 3 years of NS before this. (yes, i did almost 3 years of NS, haha where's the reduction of NS!)

There are so many things to blog about. I can go on whole night and just go for church after this haha.

London has been ok so far. Probably I'm too used to the familiarity and convenience that Singapore provided me. And of course most importantly the significant price difference, where almost everything is the same price tag as home but in Pounds!

So how do you know that you are in London?

1. Tube services close and open every now and then.
2. Most buildings are often more than half a century old, interspersed between modern-looking architectures.
3. People don't say "Thank you", but "Cheers".
4. Ants and Mosquitoes just don't exist, no matter how dirty the place is.
5. Watch musicals at half the price of Singapore's
6. Transport is so expensive that you will walk even if it is a 45 min walk.
7. Drizzles last for 10mins, they come every 3 hours.
8. Snow just doesn't come even if it is freaking cold.
9. Environmental friendly products are everywhere (due to EU policies)
10. Most of the shops close at 9pm.

Lectures here are boring from time to time. Tutorials are most useful, which kinda tempted me to skip lectures.

Maths is my weakest subject now. I am having a hard time catching up with the fresh A level graduates. But nonetheless, my diligent mugging technique helps! Hope that I can master the Maths needed in my course by next term.

I am sharing a room with a Greek. What about him? In short, I just want to move out soon! Can't live with him any longer. Luckily he is seldom in the room. =)

Weather is good when it doesn't rain. London is not as gloomy as others stated. And with the cool weather, food can last longer!

Learning both French and Japanese now. After being a sportsman for so many years, I've decided to be more "linguistic" now. Didn't join the imperial basketball team because they train too frequently. I might join them next year after I have settled my time and studies, provided my skills are still up to mark by then. =P

I cook very often here. Really miss my Dad's cooking and the fact that I never have to worry about meals back at home. Over here, because very few people cook in my hall. I had to cook with other people in another hall, but again it is hard to coordinate the people's schedule. Next year when move out into apartment, I will really want to setup a cooking group. Things will be cheaper this way and I don't have to cook so often because it is very time consuming.

Not going back this Christmas, simply because the break is too short. Going on a ski trip in France instead.

Oh and I found someone here~! My close friends would have known her by now. If not, check facebook.

I need to control my spending here!!!

Miss the quality of food in Singapore and my dear friends too. Hope those having exams in uni will do well and those who are working enjoy yourself too!

Will try to blog more often, provided I can heck my time properly. =)
